Easy-to-Assemble I-beam Steel Framing System

You can use your included engineered building drawings to plan for building installation/reach out to an erecting company. Depending on the size of your building, you may also be able to assemble yourself with a few friends and the use of a tele-handler.

We do not offer building installation services, however in certain locations, can refer you to an erecting team in our network.

Typically, you will need a 6” slab-on-grade pad to install your Red Iron steel building correctly. 

The foundation thickness will depend on the type of building, climate, and soil conditions.

You may also be able to install via a concrete pier system (one footer per column), or base girt option, which combines a concrete perimeter and footings. 

Final foundation requirements are to be determined by your engineered concrete drawings (to be provided by others) and will be based on the final size, weight, and design of your building. 

Engineered building drawings and anchor bolt plans are included with your Red Steel building system, which can be used to work with a local engineer to purchase the foundation drawings. 

Steel buildings have many long-term benefits when compared to wood buildings due to their durability and longevity. Unlike wood, steel does not warp, split, crack, shift, or rot and withstands many weather conditions with little to no upkeep. 

Red Iron Steel is also pest and fire-resistant so you can protect your investment and save on insurance. In addition, Red Iron (I-Beam) buildings are energy-efficient and low-maintenance so you benefit from a lower lifecycle cost overall.

Red Iron (I-beam) buildings are manufactured using the Hot-rolled method, in which rectangular billets or steel slabs are heated to a high temperature and passed through a set of shaped rollers, moulding the heated steel into the desired I-beam shape. 

Custom manufactured and precision-crafted in Robertson manufacturing plants across North America, all Red Iron building components are manufactured under quality standard CAN/CSA-A660 in IAS AC472 in accredited facilities to ensure conformance to standards referenced in building codes.

Welding standards are in accordance with CSA Standard W59-03 Welded Steel Construction and American Standard – AWS D1.1 Structural Welding Code – Steel.

Every Red Iron (I-Beam) building system is custom manufactured specifically for your project and location to ensure it meets all requirements for permits, seismic loads, and local building codes.

Shipped in bundles to site, your i-beam steel building system includes: custom manufactured i-beam steel frame, 26G steel PBR roof & wall panels, and color-matching fasteners.

Stamped engineered building drawings, anchor bolt plans, and install guide are also included for permits, erecting, and interior planning. Concrete drawings and anchor bolts are not included.
