Q: What foundation thickness is required to install my building?

Typically, you will need a 4” or 6” slab to install your Kodiak steel building correctly. The foundation thickness will depend on the type of building, climate, and soil conditions. For example, if you live in the Southern half of the US, foundations tend to be 4 inches, which in Northern climates, the thickness can exceed 8 inches. You may also be able to install via a concrete pier system (one footer per column). All foundation requirements are to be determined by your engineered concrete drawings and will be based on the final size, weight, and design of your building. Concrete drawings and anchor bolts are included with the Cold-Form building system . If you are building with R ed Iron (I-Beam) steel, engineered building drawings and anchor bolt plans are included - foundation drawings and anchor bolts ARE NOT INCLUDED.

Q: What equipment do I need to unload my steel building?

The type of equipment required will depend on the size of your building. A forklift, boom truck, skid steer, or spreader bar with a lifting capacity of 2000 LBS is ideal . We limit our bundle weights to a maximum of 3000 lbs. The bundles can also be broken down into smaller loads if necessary. Q: What locations do you ship to?

We ship to all 48 states (Alaska excluded), and every province and territory in Canada . Freight/Shipping and all duties are included in your building price (unless noted otherwise on your quote). If you are building in a location outside of these areas, we can arrange to ship your steel building components to the closest port/drop off point and you can arrange third-party shipping/transportation to your build site.

Q: How does building payment work?

Our payment process is simple, and broken into 3 steps so you can plan the production to align with the timing of your building project. Deposit #1 - Initiate Building Drawings to obtain permits and take the next steps of your build. 2. Once your permits are approved/completed, we require Deposit #2 to move your building into production. 3. Deposit #3 will be due once the building is on the truck, out for delivery.

Q: Do you offer financing plans?

We do not offer financing plans. This is best handled by your local bank, lender, or other private source. We do have a flexible deposit process (see payment section) to break up the payments, which allows for an easier payment schedule.

Q: What forms of payment do you accept?

We have a variety of payment options to suit what works best for you . Invoices will be sent via email, and can be paid online easily and securely via Bank/wire transfer or credit card. We also accept cash or cheque if paying in person at a Kodiak office.

Q: Is there a warranty included with my Red Iron building?

Your Red Iron (I-Beam) building comes backed with a 25 or 40 year warranty on the panel paint, ensuring lifetime performance and a steel building that looks like new year after year.
